Technical notes of our work
In order to contribute, your site does not need to be IPv6 enabled. IPv6 tests are run between the end user accessing your site, wherever he/she is located, and the safe GEN6 IPv6 servers installed at IST. As such, any website with a potentially high number of accesses from the European academic community is certainly a good target site for probe deployment, irrespective of local IPv6 support.
Cooperating sites should install the probe code at the very end of the target page, just before the final tag </body>. While the overhead introduced by the probe is minimal, this option ensures that the test being performed does not affect the load time of the web content.
